Quality checks.

A safe, non-destructive readiness checklist for the deployed app.

Anyone can create an empty private newspaper without an activation key.
Full private Organizer link reopens the same paper.
Preferences survive refresh and redeploy; a background issue never overwrites preferences.
A normal publisher website can find advertised public news feeds; unavailable feeds are not fabricated. Only reader-added sources are fetched for publication and attributed.
Custom sections, local settings and feed URLs survive edits and redeploys; syndicated duplicates collapse, and several enabled sections get space when enough feeds exist.
Existing saved editions remain available by date.
Reader displays correctly on phone and desktop.
Print preview is exactly one A4 sheet; print headlines visibly end with ellipses rather than being cut mid-line. Test dense and standard editions with long headlines.
Hourly dispatcher and four background workers are visible in Netlify logs; morning issue is recovered after a simulated feed outage.
With payment enforcement on: create and edit a newspaper without payment; deny reading/publication until Stripe subscription is verified; never accept a checkout-return URL alone as proof of payment.
Stripe checkout test: complete payment, receive a signed webhook, confirm subscription, open reader and generate a dated issue; check renewal and failed payment handling.
Stripe portal manages cancellation; deleting a paying newspaper cancels the linked subscription before deleting stored editions, with no orphaned recurring charges.
Payment provider sees only newspaper ID, not Organizer key, reader key, sources or editions. Webhook rejects signatures, mismatched sessions, and cross-newspaper subscriptions.
Admin rejects incorrect key and does not disclose reader keys.

This checklist is deliberately not an automated claim of passing production quality tests.
